Our Firm

Helping good people do great things.

The law is complex, we’re here to guide you through.

At WHC Attorneys, we are committed to making our community better and we want to represent clients who share that commitment. We know the law is complex and can prevent good people from doing great things. Our mission is to guide clients through the legal process to help them achieve their goals. We strive to meet our clients’ needs with the best representation and legal advice. We develop long-term relationships with individuals, organizations, and businesses in our community. Ask your neighbor, friend, or business associate about WHC Attorneys.

There are a lot of law firms out there, how is WHC different?

We believe there are three components that make our firm different from others. They are our three uniques:

1. Values Driven

In accomplishing our mission, we are guided by our core values. WHC Attorneys was founded by Brad Crockett and Scott Hislop with their Christian faith as the foundation. You do not have to be Christian to work on our team, but we hire team members and review their performance based on our core values. We also evaluate cases and potential clients with these principles in mind. In fact, they guide and direct everything we do. There are lots of good law firms and attorneys in our area. Knowing our core values can help you evaluate whether we are a good fit for you.

2. Practical Advice

We don’t handle every type of legal matter because our clients deserve the benefit of advice and representation based on prior experience. We assist clients with business, real estate, construction, employment, estate planning and probate needs. If a client has a need outside of our area of competence, we will gladly refer the client on to another trusted attorney in the community.

3. Team Approach

At some firms, attorneys jealously guard their relationship with clients. Our innovative approach to legal representation is teamwork. By working collaboratively on matters, we can combine our individual abilities to develop comprehensive, tailor-made solutions for our clients. This not only enhances the quality of our legal services, it is a more enjoyable way to do business.

Our Core Values

1. Do the Right Thing
2. Serve Others
3. Solve Problems
4. Have a Bias for Action
5. Communicate Intentionally
6. Constantly Improve

We do the right thing.
We strive to practice law with integrity. We fight hard for our clients, without compromise to our integrity. Accurately representing facts and the law builds our reputation with other attorneys and with the Court. Our core values are listed in order of importance. Above all, we want to do the right thing!

We serve others.
We are here because we were called to serve. Our job is to serve our clients and each other. Whether it is the senior partner or a part time /temporary employee, we all serve each other. We have different roles and serve in different ways, but ultimately we are all called to serve. If you are interested in joining our team we would love to hear from you.

We solve problems.
The world is full of problems. We want to help find solutions. Whether it is for a client or for an internal matter, our team is committed to identifying the problem, developing potential solutions and choosing the best option. If clients did not have problems, then we would not have a job. Do you have a problem that we might be able to help with, let’s connect and see if we can help.

We have a bias for action.
After we have developed potential solutions, we want to take action. It can be easy to overthink matters. In our experience, very often we are not able to get all of the information that we would like to have. Rather than being frozen by fear of the unknown, we believe it is better to take action and move matters forward. If you have been pushing off an important matter, such as completing your estate plan or forming your business, we can help you see your goals through.

We Communicate Intentionally.
Communication is an essential skill. This is especially true in the law. Whether we are communicating with the court, opposing counsel or our clients, we are intentional about our communication. When we receive information we ask who else needs to know this? We share information through social media, blogs and videos. Check us out on Facebook , Instagram, LinkedIn or our Latest In Law section.

We Constantly Improve.
We know that we are not perfect and we never will be. That is why we are committed to constantly improving the way we do things. We regularly review our systems and processes in order to better serve our clients by solving their problems. If you have feedback for how we could improve, we would love to hear it.

A look at our history

Shaped by our past.

WHC’s history began with Jamie Wolff who entered the legal profession after running his own real estate brokerage for several years.

In 2002 his son, Scott Hislop, joined him after serving a tour of duty in the United States Army as a Judge Advocate General Corps officer. Scott and Jamie formed the Law Offices of Wolff and Hislop, continuing to practice in the areas of business, real estate and estate planning.

In 2015, Brad Crockett joined the firm to provide additional litigation experience to clients in those areas, and the firm became Wolff, Hislop & Crockett, PLLC.

In 2021 Aaron Dunham, a longtime associate in the firm was named a Partner.

As of 2023, Scott transitioned from Partner to an Of Counsel role and Jamie retired from the practice of law. However, we remember our shared history and past partnership. With these changes, in 2024 Robert Wright was named partner and the firm changed it’s name from Wolff, Hislop, Crockett to simply, WHC Attorneys.

WHC develops long-term relationships with individuals, organizations and businesses in our community.
