Samuel J. Fenton

Associate Attorney

Sam became an attorney to solve complex problems and promote justice. In his work as a member of the transactional and litigation teams at the firm, Sam brings a holistic and detail-oriented approach to the practice of law to ensure his clients financial, personal, and philosophical needs are met.

Sam grew up in a small town outside Kansas City, Kansas. Coming from a family of teachers, journalists, and marines, Sam was raised with a passion for learning and adventure. Sam attended the University of Kansas and studied political science, history, and economics. Before graduating, Sam was named a Global Scholar and afforded the opportunity to conduct a two-year interdisciplinary research project on culture & politics in the United Kingdom. While at KU, Sam developed his court room skills by captaining the National Undergraduate Mock Trial team, winning numerous awards including Top Rocky Mountain Region Attorney.

Sam followed his passion for courtroom advocacy to Gonzaga University School of Law. There, Sam competed on the first Gonzaga National Trial Team to reach the Regional Final. He graduated summa cum laude from Gonzaga and during his time there, earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for the receiving the top grade in both Employment Discrimination and Non-Corporate Entity Law. Sam began at Wolff, Hislop & Crockett PLLC as an intern. Through his internship, Sam learned to practice law and connected deeply with WHC’s commitment to integrity. His connection to the firm’s values led him to accept the position of Associate Attorney, and he now serves clients in various areas including employment, real estate, and insurance litigation.

Outside the office, Sam can typically be found skiing, checking out new restaurants, or cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with his wife and their two dogs.
